1. I did not receive my account activation PIN?

If you did no receive you account activation PIN, first of all please make sure you typed your mobile number in correct. Secondly there is an option for an account activation PIN to be resent to your mobile number. There is a "Forgotten" button on the front page, click that and then click on the "Forgotten PIN" button. Enter your mobile number (e.g. 072 xxx xxx) and click "resendPIN" button. You are given only 1 opportunity to have your account activation PIN resent to your mobile. This is to prevent abuse. If you still do not receive your account activation PIN please contact us directly on support@mahalasms.co.za

2. I have forgotten my account Password?

There is an option for resetting your mahalaSMS account Password. There is a "Forgotten" button on the front page, click that and then click on the "Forgotten Password" button. Enter your mobile number (e.g. 072 xxx xxx) and click "resendPassword" button. You will be sent a NEW random 4 character password to your mobile. Use this to login to your mahalaSMS account. You can reset your password in the "profile" section once you have logged into mahalaSMS.

3. Is this service really free?

YES. 100% free. We do not reverse charge or bill anyone for using this service. All revenue s generated through advertising. To keep this service free, please support our sponsors.

4. Why do I only get 5 free messages a day?

Advertising covers the cost for sending free SMS messages. Currently advertising capacity only allows for 5 free SMS messages per registered user per day. The more advertisers come on board the more free SMS messages we can give away for free :)

5. How is mahalaSMS different to other free SMS services?

Well its 100% free. We don reverse charge or bill anyone. Plus all networks are supported. Others limit you to only sending to Vodacom or MTN for example. You can also send free SMS from your mobile phone! WOW! Visit www.mahalasms.mobi

6. Are all Network supported?

YES. We support al the networks operators in South Africa. That’s Vodacom, MTN, Cell C and Virgin Mobile.
